“How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psalm 119:103. As the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all living things, God knows what’s best for living in his world. If we want to learn and be guided by his wisdom, we need to turn to his Word. God’s Word guides and blesses all who seek his wisdom.
Read The Word More
Tell God what is on your mind. Tell Him your concerns. Ask for what you need and even what you want. Pray for the needs of others. No matter how busy we become, WE should make time to read the Word. A few minutes of tasting the Word can change us. Throughout your day, find opportunities to listen to or read the Gospel teachings.
Hunger For The Word
We have all experienced hunger, whether it’s a need for spiritual guidance or physical nutrition. Our hunger for God’s Word can benefit those needing material sustenance. God’s Word calls us to nourish the hungry and poor, just as it nourishes our faith and sustains us in our struggle for justice.
Listen To The Word Of God
God’s Word strengthens your faith. We must do what God says, standing strong in our faith, not wavering, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God. We must let God do in our lives what he says he will do through Jesus Christ.
Taste The Sweetness Of The Word
When you taste honey, you want more of it. When you taste God’s Words, you naturally want more of them! The Bible is not an end in itself, but a means to bring men to an intimate and satisfying knowledge of God, that they may enter into Him, that they may delight in His Presence, may taste and know the inner sweetness of the very God Himself in the core and center of their hearts.
Share The Word
Feeling God’s love isn’t enough. We are called to share God’s Word with others. We are called to love our neighbors, and part of that love is helping them to have the relationship with God that we have. Sharing our faith also helps us better articulate our own beliefs and grow ourselves.
Live The Word
From Isaiah 1:19, “If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.” To live by the Word of God is to live by studying, meditating, and obeying the Word of God. It is to live in conformity with the standard prescribed in the Word of God in order to please God – our Maker. To obey is better than sacrifice.
