Declaration of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that human beings are sinful, guilty, and lost without Christ and that salvation from the consequences of sin comes only through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross where he bore our sins and died on our behalf.

We believe that sinners are made right before God only by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that being a good person, doing good works such as giving to charity, being kind, not cursing, being honest, going to church, paying tithes etc cannot save us or make us right with God. The bible declares we are not saved by doing good works or being good, but rather by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. The bible teaches we were all born in sin and our righteousness at best is compared to dirty rags. We must reject our good works and accept the righteous of Jesus Christ. When we acknowledge our sins we must repent of our sinful ways and turn to Jesus, confess with our mouth that Jesus is God, our Lord and Savior, ask his forgiveness and place our trust in him and he alone to save us.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. The Christian is enabled to live a godly life by His indwelling presence.

We believe that baptism by immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ is important as a sign of our repentance and salvation. While baptism does not save us, if we have truly repented and place our faith in Jesus then we MUST and we WILL get baptized in obedience to Jesus command to be baptized.

We believe that God is still present in his Church by the Holy Ghost. We further believe that the gifts of the Holy Ghost such as gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophesying, interpretation of tongues are still operating today. We believe the Holy Ghost still give these gifts to his people. We understand the bible teaches all who are saved have been given at least one spiritual gift to be used to edify the church and be of service to others.

We believe that God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the local church is the primary God-established base of operation for evangelistic activity in the world.

We believe that every true believer is commissioned of Christ to “preach the Gospel to every creature” and to “make disciples of all nations”.

We believe in the bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead for both salvation and final judgment.

This brief statement of faith does not cover the full extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and authoritative Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
