Pastor David A. Shockley, Jr. has been a passionate servant-leader and community visionary for over 35 years. As the Senior Pastor of Jesus Love Temple, he has guided generations through faith, service, and empowerment. His commitment extends beyond the pulpit—he has served on the Board of Directors for Downtown Milford Inc., held a seat on the Milford School District Board of Education, served as chaplain for the Milford Police Department, and currently serves on the State of Delaware Police Accountability Committee.

In 2009, he boldly reimagined the historic Milford Schine Theater, transforming it into a vibrant sanctuary for worship, creativity, and community life. Then in 2020, he established House of David Milford DE, Incorporated—a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing shelter to the homeless, feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, and offering hope to the hurting.

He holds a Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) from Newburgh Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Wilmington University. With a strong background in both entrepreneurship and the corporate sector, he brings valuable insight as a successful business owner and an employee of several prominent companies.

Pastor David A. Shockley, Jr. has always been a resident of the beautiful State of Delaware and resides there with his wife Tamika, 5 children, and 2 grandchildren.

Guided by his life’s motto: “If I can help somebody along life’s way, then my living will not be in vain,” Pastor Shockley continues to inspire spiritual growth, social action, and generational change throughout Delaware and beyond.
